Manages the Department by planning, controlling and coordinating departmental and staff activities in accordance with overall hospital and departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures: Maintains management, performance and technical competence levels consistent with departmental and hospital standards in today’s changing healthcare environment for both self and staff. Promotes effective communication and cooperation with employees, other managers, administration, physicians and patients; promotes public relations within the hospital and community.
