The opportunity This is a senior engagement leadership role at the centre of the University’s digital transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders across Indigenous Strategy and Services, External Engagement and Advancement, translating business priorities into clear digital direction and helping shape a more connected, responsive ICT function. These portfolios sit at the heart of how the University builds relationships, strengthens communities and advances its strategic goals. You will lead high-value stakeholder partnerships, guide demand into the ICT pipeline, and help shape ways of working in a function that is still evolving — making this a genuine opportunity to influence strategy, service experience and long-term impact.

Requirements

  • A senior ICT engagement leader with strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with complex stakeholder groups
  • Experience translating business needs into practical digital strategies, roadmaps and solutions in a large and complex environment
  • Strong background in stakeholder-facing technology domains such as CRM, digital platforms, web, marketing technology or advancement systems
  • Demonstrated people leadership, commercial judgement and the ability to work through ambiguity, change and competing priorities
  • Indigenous cultural sensitivity and the ability to build respectful, effective relationships with Indigenous communities and colleagues
  • You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across Indigenous Strategy and Services, External Engagement and Advancement as their primary ICT partner
  • Shape portfolio roadmaps, capture demand and align digital priorities with the University’s Digital Sydney strategy and broader ICT roadmap
  • Provide executive-level guidance on technology opportunities, with particular relevance to platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager and related digital engagement tools
  • Lead a high-performing team of ICT Business Partners and service specialists, creating alignment across ICT and the University
  • Act as a senior escalation point, using insight, judgement and influence to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement
