About the Role The Director, Electrical Engineering, will be responsible for building and executing strategies within the electrical engineering function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience managing large engineering teams and complex technical projects, as well as the ability to interact with executive-level management. The Director will oversee the activities of the electrical engineering program, technical area, or multiple integrated teams, ensuring operational effectiveness, technical innovation, and value creation. This position demands a strong commitment to upholding company values, supporting organizational changes, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, emerging technologies, and regulatory compliance, along with strong financial acumen and project management skills. Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and complex projects.
  • Upholds and models company values; ability to hold others accountable to values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build strategy; identify and implement the steps needed to execute strategy over a business area/function.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Experience leading and supporting organizational changes.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the electrical engineering industry or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making in engineering contexts.
  • Familiarity with advanced engineering tools, methodologies, and software for electrical system design and analysis.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance processes and certifications in the electrical engineering industry.
  • An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Avionics Engineering – electronics, flight computers, sensor interfaces
  • Power Systems Engineering – power generation, storage, regulation, distribution
  • Harness Engineering – cable routing, connectorization, harness design rules
