Role Summary - Director, Digital Strategy & Operational Excellence - based onsite in Austin, TX The Director, Digital Strategy & Operational Excellence is a transformative leader responsible for architecting and executing the digital footprint across engineering, operations, and business units. This role drives operational excellence, tool and analytics adoption, and capability optimization to enable scalable, efficient, and future-ready business processes. Reporting to the Director of AI & Digital Transformation, this leader is a game changer and future shaper, directly impacting multi-million dollar revenues and the long-term strategic goals of the CTO organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or related field required.
  • 12+ years of experience driving business transformation and operational excellence in the technology space.
  • 4+ years of people management experience, leading cross-functional and global teams.
  • Proven track record in digital strategy development, tool optimization, and operational improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across executive and global teams.
  • Experience with KPIs, OKRs, and metrics-driven transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a multi-year digital strategy that aligns with enterprise goals and supports business growth across Intelligent Infrastructure segments.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in technology creation, design, and enablement, ensuring value-add for customers and competitive advantage for the organization.
  • Establish and drive KPIs, OKRs, and metrics to improve velocity, operational effectiveness, and transformation across business units.
  • Digital Capability & Tools Management Build frameworks and processes for evaluating, selecting, and optimizing engineering tools and analytics platforms.
  • Create and maintain a tools inventory evaluation process, ensuring capability optimization, cost management, and automation readiness for future AI adoption.
  • Launch and oversee intern projects and digital initiatives that support innovation and process improvement.
  • Operations Excellence Architect and implement metrics strategies to support long-term planning (LTP), including real-time KPI infrastructure, business review processes, and program metric strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities, defect reduction, build quality, and milestone tracking across engineering and operations.
  • Optimize materials library, BOM cost management, and decision visibility for program hand-offs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence Collaborate with senior leaders from Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Business Units to drive alignment and adoption of digital strategies.
  • Lead executive forums and cross-functional initiatives to standardize practices and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Influence without direct control, leveraging strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive consensus and strategic outcomes globally.
  • Global Impact & Accountability Manage talent and operations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, supporting global business units and driving scalable digital transformation.
  • Directly shape long-term strategy, resource planning, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies, balancing financial and workforce impacts for sustainable growth.
