About The Position

The Delivery Operations team serves as a strategic enabler within the organization, leading technology teams in delivering impactful solutions that deepen customer engagement and reinforce brand loyalty. We champion the adoption and evolution of delivery practices that drive key strategic outcomes, foster business agility, and maximize value realization. Our success is built on a foundation of delivery excellence, data-informed decision-making, and the application of innovative methodologies. We streamline processes, optimize tools, and establish clear standards, measurements, practices, and guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across product initiatives. As a central hub for operational excellence, the Director, Deliver Excellence plays a pivotal role in aligning cross-functional efforts, accelerating time-to-market, building in quality, and continuously improving how we deliver value to our customers and stakeholders. This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location

Requirements

  • 10 or more years' experience in agile, lean, product, or engineering delivery in a Global matrixed environment
  • 7 years' experience as a people manager, with a track record of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels while leveraging strong business and commercial acumen to align initiatives with strategic goals.
  • SPC (SAFe Practice Consultant) Certification
  • Proven success in leading at least three organizational transformations, including changes in ways of working, training, and delivery models.
  • In-depth experience and knowledge of Product delivery, leading indicators, discovery, design thinking, MVP development, and other Product practices
  • Solid & extensive technical and DevOps background, with hands-on understanding of modern engineering practices, leadership in training & implementation
  • Seasoned trainer and curriculum developer, capable of translating theory into practical application

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology or Business Administration; MBA or MS highly preferred.
  • Certifications in Agile, Portfolio, Engineering, and DevOps methodologies such as LPM, SDP, PMPO, PMP, iCAgile, CSP, AI are additionally beneficial_
  • Prior experience in a digital-first environment, leveraging data to inform decisions and drive outcomes.

  • Enhance delivery efficiency for new products and enhancements to customers and employees.
  • Strengthen discovery and execution to improve flow, foster innovation, and embed quality practices.
  • Drive a customer-obsessed culture rooted in transparency and data-driven decisions.
  • Oversee global operating model enablement to mature product, engineering, and design practices.
  • Standardize ways of working for alignment and operational consistency across Product & Engineering.
  • Lead delivery excellence through OKRs, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of metrics.
  • Foster collaboration and learning by owning the Product CoP and establishing a Lean Agile Center of Excellence.
  • Maximize business value realization across programs, products, and services through operational excellence.
