This position reports to the Chief Product Officer. The Director, Data Science – Lead Generation owns the data science strategy powering Ping tree and offer wall-based consumer loan acquisition. This role is accountable for lead scoring, routing, experimentation, and performance optimization to drive profitable growth across third‑party and internal acquisition channels. The Director partners closely with Product, Marketing, Credit Risk, and Engineering to ensure acquisition decisions are data‑driven, scalable, and compliant.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Quantitative Field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other comparable quantitative field) required or bachelor’s degree in quantitative Field (Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematics, Economics, or another comparable quantitative field) required.
  • Over Five (5) years of experience working in data-science or a related field, with a focus on attributable digital lead generation customer acquisition.
  • Experience in consumer lending is essential
  • Strong proficiency in R/Python, SQL, or another analytical tool is a must.
  • Experience in building stochastic models.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, machine learning, and statistical techniques.
  • Comfortable with solving complex problems and using higher level mathematics. Ability to combine data from multiple sources and manipulate to analyze and interpret business performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are needed to communicate in person, by phone, and through email. Ability to quickly learn all technology needed to perform the role.

Responsibilities

  • Own data science strategy for ping tree and offer wall lead generation
  • Lead a team that builds and optimizes models predicting conversion, approval, funding, loss, and lifetime value
  • Drive real‑time lead valuation, routing, and acceptance logic
  • Design and execute A/B testing frameworks across acquisition funnels
  • Evaluate new lead sources and traffic types in partnership with Marketing
  • Partner cross‑functionally to align acquisition with underwriting and portfolio guardrails
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership
