About The Position

Job Summary: The Director has direct oversight of business analysts and software developers in the implementation of institutional wide platforms and integration of all third-party applications with PeopleSoft Student Information System. This position will also contribute to the oversight of campuswide and CSU-wide data architecture maintenance and systems integration, and aid in developing plans for future upgrades, enhancements, expansions, and sustainable operations in alignment with the institution’s growing data needs. Responsibilities: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for enterprise administrative platforms, including PeopleSoft (Student, HR, Finance), Tableau, Qualtrics, Boomi, uAchieve, and RAVE Oversee functional planning and system development to ensure reliable, scalable, and effective enterprise solutions Lead cross-departmental coordination to align enterprise systems with institutional goals Ensure administrative platforms support institutional effectiveness, business continuity, and long-term sustainability Lead and manage a team of analysts and developers by setting performance expectations, coordinating professional development, and overseeing hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary processes in accordance with CSU policy. Foster a culture of accountability, service excellence, and innovation across administrative technology services. Direct the planning and execution of large-scale enterprise system initiatives by defining project strategy, allocating staff and financial resources, and ensuring alignment with institutional priorities. Provide leadership for the design, deployment, and enhancement of enterprise applications, including integrations with departmental and auxiliary systems, mobile platforms, and identity management solutions. Drive the university’s data intelligence and analytics strategy by aligning system integrations (e.g., Tableau, PeopleUX, ModoLabs) with business needs and end-user experience. Ensure systems are designed to deliver actionable data, support compliance, and enhance institutional decision-making. Serve as a key institutional advisor on enterprise system architecture and data integration strategy. Collaborate with analysts and technical leaders to ensure secure, efficient, and scalable solutions across administrative platforms. Guide the planning of upgrades, system enhancements, and technical roadmaps aligned with CSU policy and evolving campus needs. Represent Administrative Systems at the ITS Leadership Team level by contributing to campus-wide IT planning, policy development, and strategic prioritization. Collaborate with university departments and the Chancellor’s Office to align administrative technology operations with institutional mission, compliance standards, and CSU-wide initiatives. Support divisional and institutional objectives through participation in strategic initiatives, special assignments, or executive-led projects as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution, plus 5–8 years of professional and supervisory experience.
  • Three years direct experience working in fast paced, demanding environment, as well as advanced working technical knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft SIS System.
  • Minimum one year of experience overseeing technical projects and a technical team.
  • Ability to understand and define internal and external requirements.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate effectively with people at varying levels of technical fluency.
