About The Position

Due to growth, we are adding a Director, Data Governance to our team! The Director, Data Governance enables data as a strategic asset for the organization and is responsible for implementing and operating key components of the Navitus data governance framework. This role supports the development of a well-structured enterprise data ecosystem and governance practices aligned with the Navitus data fabric, under the direction of Digital Data Products and Platform leadership. The primary responsibility of the Director is to support and execute the Navitus Enterprise Data Operating Model and governance framework, including data management strategies, policies, standards, and prioritized use cases. The Director creates and maintains an accurate enterprise master data asset inventory and serves as a primary business engagement lead, partnering with leaders across the organization to effectively leverage master data assets in support of Navitus growth initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience, required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data management required.
  • 5 years of experience in master data, data governance, or related systems roles required.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and managing cross-functional initiatives required.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with large healthcare data sets, EHR systems, and cloud platforms required.
  • 3+ years’ experience supporting or managing master data management programs, preferably in the healthcare industry, required.
  • Hands-on experience with Master Data Management tools required.
  • 3+ years’ experience designing and implementing data governance policies and standards required.
  • Advanced experience using data analytics tools and techniques required.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, functional owners, data owners, and analysts to define and implement data governance policies, controls, and programs that ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Coordinate Data Management (MDM) processes and own the execution of enterprise data governance initiatives.
  • Implement governance processes to ensure data integrity, quality, standards, and change management across business functions and systems.
  • Coordinate master data activities with other organizational governance teams while adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data standards aligned with organizational priorities and requirements.
  • Maintain data governance documentation including master data definitions, data quality reporting inventories, enterprise data definitions, and governance policies and procedures.
  • Continuously review and validate master data for quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Perform root cause analysis of master data issues and recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and support communication and training materials related to data governance policies and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
