The Director - Data Warehouse & Analytics Architecture is responsible for the Solution Architecture for the EDW and Analytics domain, interpreting the organization's objectives and the enterprise context into standards and usage guidelines. You will be a key member of the leadership team, engaging in all aspects of running the data warehousing & analytics services, with a specialization in the use of technology to fulfill business objectives. This position will lead the solution architecture teams delivering on conceptual design of projects in line with the Enterprise architecture standards and guidelines. Specifically, this role covers Data Architecture, DW Security architecture, DW Integration architecture and DW Platform architecture. This requires close working relationships with Business and IT leadership, internal customers, business teams, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering
8+ years of experience in Information Technology

Nice To Haves

Proven track record of driving and leading large-scale architectural or delivery projects throughout an entire business through to completion.
Solution Architecture experience working within Data Architecture and Business Data Warehousing domain
Strong technology experience, preferably past delivery lead role experience of multiple technologies including but not limited to Snowflake, SAP Hana, SAP BI, Data Integration, common knowledge of security application and data security, and data architectures
Exposure to various aspects of architecture practices: business, application, data, security, infrastructure and governance, working knowledge of architecture frameworks
Experience in big data technologies
Snowflake, SAP ERP, HANA platform, Tableau and Power BI reporting experience required
Cloud platforms experience preferred (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Pivotal, etc)
Excellent leadership communication and executive presence
Understanding of key information technology solutions and practices
Strong business acumen and ability to translate new technology into business value
Creation of result-oriented Management Operating System
Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems
Creative and collaborative problem-solving capability
Conveys specific, observable, and measurable expectations for each assignment

Combined management experience of direct reports, indirect resources and external contractors.

Responsibilities

Build and lead an advanced enterprise analytics solution architecture team.
Lead the solution architecture and enabling technologies strategy for the Analytics team. Evangelize and drive alignment on the adoption and realization of the strategy.
Partner with business alignment team and business leaders on all initiatives in the domain.
Provide thought leadership and act as the trusted technical adviser to the business and technology leadership team.
Demonstrate deep understanding of critical business issues and requirements and recommending IT solutions that provide competitive advantage.
Assure IT solutions for the business provide an exceptional user experience, while being compliant and cyber-safe.
Build a team of business champions in enabling a data-oriented decision-making culture and iteratively work with them in adopting the insights' and analytics.
