Director, Data Analysis- Small Business Banking

We are seeking a talented data leader to serve as Director for the Small Business Bank Data Analysis team. This is a critical leadership position that will partner closely with all Small Business Bank departments to understand their current data needs while also crafting our future data asset strategy. You'll have a direct hand in creating a transformed data ecosystem that enables Capital One to build a national digital Small Business Bank, while delivering a market-leading data-driven customer experience to our small business owners. The successful candidate will possess a deep subject matter expertise in data management practices and risk management frameworks. The role also requires excellent problem solving, communication, and judgment skills. The ability to navigate within a complex, fast moving environment is also a must.
Requirements
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field) plus at least 8 years of experience performing data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree plus at least 6 years of experience performing data analytics with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.
- At least 6 years of experience performing professional data analysis work
- At least 6 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies
- At least 4 years of experience managing people

- 5+ years of cloud native (AWS) data processing experience
- 5+ years of Process Management experience
- 5+ years of Project Management experience

- 2+ years of experience with streaming data technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute on data management strategy
- Define and monitor KRI's and escalate areas of non-compliance as appropriate
- Oversee the design and execution of data controls
- Oversee data quality monitoring and data issue management practices
- Monitor the health of data catalog metadata
- Manage team of high performing data professionals
