About The Position

As Director, Visa Crypto Sales and Business Development – Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC), you will join the regional Crypto team within Growth Products & Partnerships. This role involves close alignment with the Global Visa Crypto GTM and Sales organization to execute go-to-market strategies across LAC. You will serve as a key bridge between global strategy and regional execution, partnering with global and regional account teams to manage priority crypto clients in LAC, expand existing relationships, and identify new sales opportunities across stablecoin payments and broader crypto solutions. The Director will also pursue net-new partnerships across the crypto ecosystem, working cross-functionally with product, strategy, legal, risk, finance, and account teams to structure, advance, and close complex, revenue-generating deals, while helping shape Visa’s global and regional crypto GTM approach.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience in operating and business development roles across companies in financial services, fintech, crypto, and payments
  • High product acumen and solutions mindset
  • Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions
  • Proven ability to form new partnerships and find new sales opportunities in white space, demonstrating commercial creativity and instincts alongside negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership with subject matter expertise in stablecoins and blockchain technology
  • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
  • Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
  • Experience “managing up”, building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties
  • Executive presence, Strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations

Nice To Haves

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Previous experience in an operating role at a startup or high growth company preferred
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and influencing without direct authority

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing and identify new crypto ecosystem partnerships relevant and within LAC, including blockchains, stablecoin issuers, orchestration providers, DeFi protocols, and adjacent partner archetypes, in close coordination with global client and product priorities.
  • Drive commercial execution of global and regional deals within LAC, partnering with global sales and GTM teams to bring new crypto capabilities and products to market across multiple regions, with a focus on scalable, repeatable revenue opportunities.
  • Shape and execute global Go-To-Market strategies for Visa Crypto solutions, working with named global clients active in LAC and aligning with regional and local counterparts to ensure consistent execution, client coverage, and pipeline acceleration.
  • Partner cross-functionally to source, structure, and pilot new global partnerships, streamlining partnership models, governance, and operating processes to accelerate deal velocity and global scalability.
