MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Director of Creative Strategy to bring ideas to life at the intersection of sports, culture, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative thinker and strategic communicator — a writer who can craft bold narratives, complex insights, and shape campaigns that resonate across audiences and platforms. We are looking for someone who is not just a skilled writer but a natural researcher, knowledgeable about culture, and gets excited by organizing data to create a compelling story. You must be a credible C-level presenter in new business pursuits and have a writing ability that allows you to build impactful internal decks as well as global brand campaigns. Agency experience is preferred. This role will be focused primarily on client sponsorship in the sports space; therefore, sports experience and/or passion is a plus! About You We are looking for candidates with 8-10 years of experience in creative strategy, with the following attributes: Self-directed - Thrives in ambiguous environments and independently defines priorities and solutions. Natural Leader - You are an experienced leader and thrive on collaboration and developing a team of future leaders Culturally Aware - Always living at the intersection of brands, culture, and creativity. Sports passion / experience is a plus. Strategic Communicator – Exceptional analytical, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills with ability to link insights to strategy and translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications Deeply Curious – You have a passion for discovering insights and solving consumer problems in engaging ways and a strong ability to synthesize data into a clear and informative format.
