About The Position

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join the corporate strategy team at Foot Locker Inc. The Director will be responsible in partnering with the broader strategy team, corporate finance team, and high-level executives across the organization to refine and execute the company's long-term strategic plan. The role will require a thoughtful approach to problem solving, an analytical and strategic mindset, and the ability to work cross functionally across a large matrixed organization. #LI-MN1

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years working in strategy, finance, marketing or customer insight teams
  • Operational and financial knowledge of retail business
  • Previous roles in the sneaker and sportswear industry highly prioritized
  • Very skilled in Powerpoint and Excel. Ability to leverage data to identify opportunities, drive strategic insights, and create leadership presentations
  • Resourceful and relentless: Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations
  • Highly Innovative problem solver: Must possess strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, and demonstrate ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: Ability to deal with complex problems and present recommendations and findings in a clear, concise format
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: Ability to create and nurture internal and external relationships

Responsibilities

  • Refine and execute the company's long-term strategic plan, working closely with leaders to align objectives with the company's vision and mission
  • Ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives, partnering with stakeholders on updates and changes. Tracking KPIs and goals across the leadership team to assure consistent alignment across departments.
  • Analyze financial data and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of current strategies and recommend improvements
  • Track industry trends and conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities
  • Analyze and interpret consumer research to uncover insights that will inform growth strategy, innovation, brand positioning or operational improvement
  • Use business and market intelligence to predict risk and disruption to the business
  • Lead the preparation of Board of Directors materials on a quarterly and yearly basis
  • Execute against special projects as assigned by the CEO and Executive team
  • Serve as a thought leader across the organization, bringing forth new ideas grounded in insights and data, in support of Foot Lockers growth ambitions
