About The Position

The Director, Corporate Development will play a key role in identifying, evaluating and executing M&A transactions, investments and other inorganic opportunities that will accelerate DriveWealth’s mission and strategic growth priorities. The position will facilitate and lead all phases of the acquisition process. Key functions will include identification, screening, evaluation, deal structuring and negotiation, due diligence, closing and integration of transactions. This role will work closely with business unit leaders, external advisors, as well as senior management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate development, preferably in Financial Services and/or Fintech or equivalent industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • A track record of ownership and disciplined execution in high-stakes environments
  • The ability to prioritize ruthlessly, focussing on what’s critical versus important to drive work to completion
  • A client-oriented mindset with an understanding of how your work impacts partners
  • Strength in cross-functional partnership with the judgment to coordinate across multiple teams

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Landscaping: Lead industry analysis and landscape studies to proactively identify M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities that accelerate DriveWealth’s global Brokerage-as-a-Service footprint
  • Inorganic Strategy: Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to architect Build-Buy-Partner frameworks
  • External Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for the investment banking and venture capital communities to further DriveWealth as the "partner of choice" for high-impact fintech deal flow
  • End-to-End Deal Ownership: Act as the primary execution lead for the entire M&A lifecycle—from initial target outreach and NDA negotiation to financial due diligence, deal structuring, and closing.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Direct diligence teams across Tech, Legal, Brokerage Operations, Finance, and HR, ensuring a holistic evaluation of a target’s technology stack and regulatory compliance
  • Negotiation & Structuring: Drive the negotiation of transaction-related agreements, focusing on sophisticated risk allocation and long-term synergy capture
  • Integration Planning: Lead the hand-off from deal close to integration, ensuring that acquired technologies or teams are seamlessly embedded into the DriveWealth ecosystem
  • Post-Close Performance: Develop and track Post-Closing Performance Dashboards to measure realized synergies against the original investment thesis, ensuring our inorganic moves drive measurable ROI
  • Advanced Valuation: Own the creation of complex financial models, including pro-forma impact, synergy realization, and equity-return analyses to assess deal viability
  • Data-Driven Conviction: Translate intricate deal frameworks into clear, high-impact narratives that enable leadership and the Board to make rapid, high-stakes decisions
  • M&A Playbook: Develop and continuously refine a "state-of-the-art" M&A toolkit, leveraging AI tools to automate data room analysis and streamline the process
