About The Position

Asurion is launching transformational direct-to-consumer bets over the next decade, from household device protection plans, segment specific products for seniors and SMBs, to a mass-market AI tech concierge. We've built a multi-billion-dollar business through enterprise partnerships with the world's largest technology companies. Now we're going direct to consumers, and we need a partnerships leader who can unlock subscriber growth through creative and sometimes non-obvious distribution channels. This is a rare opportunity to own D2C partnerships at a company with resources, distribution, and brand recognition but with the autonomy and impact of an early-stage startup. You'll be the quarterback for our entire D2C partnership growth strategy, from ideation to pilot to scale. We're looking for someone who sees partnership opportunities everywhere and knows how to close them. Some examples include: · Membership benefits: Partnering with corporate perk platforms (Perkspot, LifeMart), credit card programs, or directly with large employers · Affinity partnerships: Working with AARP for seniors, gig economy platforms (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash), trucking companies. · Buy-flow integrations: Integrating protection plans into secondary marketplaces · Strategic co-marketing: Partnerships with brands that share our customer base but aren't competitive The opportunities are endless. We need someone to figure out what's possible, prioritize ruthlessly, open doors, pilot fast, and scale what works.

  • Relationship building and influence - Natural networker who opens doors, builds trust with senior stakeholders, and persuades both internal teams and external partners
  • Bias for speed and scrappiness - Move fast to launch pilots in weeks not months; comfortable with ambiguity and building processes that don't exist yet
  • Consumer subscription expertise - Deep understanding of partnership-led growth models, particularly in consumer tech, fintech, or subscription businesses
  • Bachelor's degree required (preference for Business, Economics, or related field; technical degrees welcome)
  • 7+ years in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances at consumer technology companies
  • Portfolio of 0-to-1 partnerships you can walk us through (what you built, how you closed it, what it achieved)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive execution without formal authority
