About The Position

With over 47,000 agents across free and paid tiers, and a paying membership base growing ahead of plan, we are at an inflection point. The Director of Community & Membership Growth will lead the community as a business-critical growth and retention engine for the business. The right candidate will successfully drive membership growth in partnership with leadership, building engagement systems that keep agents coming back, and serving as a visible, trusted presence across lives, events, and the platform itself. This is a highly visible role with meaningful ownership and direct impact on growth, retention, and member experience. The right person for this role has built and scaled communities, understands how engagement drives retention and revenue and is equally comfortable building systems behind the scenes and showing up credibly in front of members. This role will collaborate across Content, Marketing, Sales and Operations to translate community engagement into business outcomes. The right person for this role will be a highly collaborative operator with strong emotional intelligence that is able to align teams, communicate clearly, and drive outcomes through partnership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in community management, membership growth, or customer success within a subscription or membership-based business
  • You are a highly collaborative operator who works effectively across Content, Marketing, Sales, and Operations
  • Demonstrated ownership of a growth metric, not just management of activity
  • Comfort appearing on camera and speaking in front of a crowd; this requirement is non-negotiable
  • Deep understanding of community platforms; experience with Circle is a plus but not required
  • Systems thinker with a track record of building scalable solutions rather than one-off campaigns
  • Real estate experience not required; curiosity about the industry is expected
  • Data-literate with the ability to interpret dashboards, identify meaningful insights, and take action
  • High energy and strong sense of ownership; proactively drives work forward

Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement
  • Build the Sell It community into the most active, valuable, and motivating space in real estate for ambitious agents
  • Design and run programming that creates daily habits, not passive scrolling
  • Own the content and engagement rhythm inside the community platform alongside the Content team, ensuring members have clear reasons to participate consistently
  • Identify what drives members to take action and build systems around it,e.g. prompts, challenges, recognition, and community habits that reinforce momentum
  • Stay close to day-to-day member experience by welcoming new members, participating in conversations, and maintaining a high-quality, high-energy environment
  • Design and execute a milestone recognition framework that celebrates key wins (first deals, program completion, etc.) to drive motivation, accountability and retention
  • Customer Success
  • Track member behavior inside the platform and identify at-risk members early, and implement interventions that improve retention
  • Build and manage upsell pathways from Starter to Member to Group Coaching to PRO
  • Work with the data team to understand what engagement patterns predict renewal, progression, and churn
  • Close the loop between what members need and what the platform delivers
  • Membership Growth
  • Own growth across paid and non-paid membership, with clear accountability for community-led conversion, retention, and member progression.
  • Drive conversion from free to paid across Starter and Member tiers by improving activation, participation, and value early in the member journey
  • Identify and act on patterns in the first 14 days that influence activation, engagement, and conversion
  • Build and execute strategies that grow the paying base month over month and increase member progression through the ecosystem
  • Platform Operations
  • Own the Circle platform experience, including backend flows, automations, events, and personalization
  • Build and optimize onboarding sequences that create clarity and momentum in the first 14 days
  • Identify AI-powered personalization opportunities inside the community platform
  • Manage tagging, segmentation, and member data to enable smarter targeting, improved lifecycle communication, and more personalized member experiences
  • Visibility and Presence
  • Show up confidently on camera and host/co-host lives with team members, including Ryan Serhant, as a visible, trust voice of the community
  • Represent the SellIt brand at events and in-person activations with energy, professionalism, and credibility
