About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Mentorship & Leadership: Guide, develop, and mentor lenders to enhance their expertise in loan structure, relationship and portfolio management, and business development strategies. Loan Pricing & Structuring Expertise: Educate lenders on complex loan structures appropriate pricing and drivers of loan pricing, risk assessment, and creative financing solutions to better serve commercial clients. Coaching on Relationship Management: Train lenders to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer service and strategic financial support. Loan Growth & Quality: Drive loan portfolio growth while maintaining a strong focus on credit quality and risk management. Deposit Growth Strategies: Working with the Director of Commercial Deposits and Treasury Services, develop and implement strategies to increase deposit growth and expand business banking relationships. Business Development: Identify market opportunities and equip lenders with the skills and tools necessary to grow their portfolios. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with underwriting, credit analysts, and loan administration team to foster a professional environment focused on high-quality growth. Regulatory Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to all industry regulations and internal policies while fostering ethical lending practices. Performs additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives. EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience. Eight (8)+ years of experience in commercial banking, lending, or financial services. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring lenders. Strong expertise in loan structuring, financial analysis, and credit risk assessment. Excellent communication, coaching, and negotiation skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to drive growth and manage risk effectively. Ability to develop high-performing teams and cultivate a strong client network. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS: Loan Growth: Achieving defined targets for portfolio expansion. Loan Quality: Maintaining a strong credit portfolio with minimal delinquency rates. Deposit Growth: Increasing commercial deposits in alignment with company goals. Team Development: Improvement in lender performance, knowledge, and client engagement. Client Retention & Satisfaction: High retention rates and positive client feedback. Revenue Growth: Contribution to overall profitability through strategic financial solutions. Compliance & Risk Management: Adherence to industry regulations and risk assessment standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Eight (8)+ years of experience in commercial banking, lending, or financial services.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring lenders.
  • Strong expertise in loan structuring, financial analysis, and credit risk assessment.
