About The Position

The Regional Practice Leader of Wellness/Health Management has primary responsibility for strategically positioning Gallagher Benefit Services as an industry leader in providing wellness and health management strategy and consulting. Professional delivery of these services will give AJG a key competitive advantage in the market place by offering a measurable, value-added service to clients that will aid them in their efforts to contain health costs. A senior position with AJG, the Practice Leader has responsibility for overseeing a team of wellness specialist in the branches as well as meeting company profitability goals by retaining current clients and supporting the sales process.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in related field and 7+ years broad consulting and training experience, including designing, implementing, managing and evaluating customized health promotion and/or wellness programs and initiatives in mid- to large sized organizations.
  • Develop strategic department-level initiatives for AJG clients interested in wellness and health management consulting services and plans.
  • Can design multi-year strategies to offer innovative long-range solutions for clients based on review and analysis of health plan and industry trends and changes, client requests and demands, and results of existing plans.
  • Review strategy annually to modify and ensure initiatives continue to support AJG and client goals based on appropriate market, business, or health input considerations.
  • Design and develop strategic multi-year health initiative plans based on specific needs determined by measurable ROI goals, specific to each client.
  • Effectiveness of these initiatives requires knowledge of the company culture, available budgets and a comprehensive understanding of which activities have proven to have the greatest positive impact on lifestyle and claims experience.

  • Evaluate and manage wellness/health management vendors and service providers to optimal performance and productivity (this includes providing oversight to the wellness/health management team to direct their activities to support this objective).
  • Provide guidance and direction to the wellness/health management team and other employee benefits team members to empower them to serve as a resource to link clients to various vendors of wellness/health management products.
  • Provide consulting expertise regarding wellness/health management industry trends to the region.
  • Responsible for educating and training AJG's Employee Benefits Sales staff and Consultants on how to use and promote wellness/health management consulting services with clients.
  • Team members must understand the internal value of wellness/health management consulting services as a client retention tool and also must be able to quantify the hard dollar value to the client for wellness/health management consulting services through stewardship and other reporting.
  • Master's degree in Health Promotion or Public Health preferred; advanced knowledge of wellness programs, practices, and applicable law required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze client's heath claim data and ability to present data and recommend appropriate cost management programs in an organized, logical manner.
