Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital offers compassionate, high-quality inpatient and outpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment for teens, adults, and seniors. We provide a full-range of evidence-based medical and clinical services in a state-of-the-art healing environment. Programs include inpatient mental health and co-occurring treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). The Director of Clinical Services oversees all clinical treatment programming for patients receiving psychiatric and substance abuse services across inpatient settings within the Behavioral Health Hospital. This role ensures delivery of high‑quality, integrated clinical care by providing leadership and supervision to the therapist team, including oversight of individual and group, and counseling services. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing therapeutic modalities, ensuring accurate and compliant clinical documentation, and guiding effective discharge planning for optimal patient transitions. This position actively participates in regulatory surveys, leads performance improvement initiatives, collaborates with the hospital’s leadership team, and supports staff through ongoing evaluation, coaching, and adherence to clinical standards. The Director plays a key role in maintaining treatment integrity, patient engagement, and overall clinical excellence across the hospital’s behavioral health programs. Requirements

  • Applicants should have Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work is required.
  • A current unencumbered clinical social work license (LCSW) is required. In the absence of LCSW credentials, qualification for this position is contingent on the Hospital employing another LCSW per CMS’ Condition of Participation guidelines.
  • CPR certification and Handle with Care within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • A knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in inpatient psychiatric healthcare preferred.
  • Previous management experience at the Director level preferred.
