About The Position

Welcome Health is redefining what primary care for older adults can look like: deeply personal, relationship driven, and grounded in what matters most to each individual. Built on the principles of geriatric medicine and backed by SCAN Group, Welcome Health delivers care that meets patients where they are, including in home, in clinic, and virtual visits. Welcome Health is led by a team of clinicians and professionals who believe healthcare works best when time, trust, and humanity are at the center. Our providers are empowered to slow down, listen closely, and build lasting relationships with the people they serve. That same mindset applies to our employees – we invest in them by fostering a supportive environment where clinical excellence, collaboration, and worklife balance are truly valued. Welcome Health is a place where mission and medicine align – and where meaningful work is done every day, with purpose and pride. Welcome Health is an innovative medical group delivering primary care to older adults across Greater Los Angeles, Orange County, and Riverside. Our care model is anchored on what matters most to each patient. Our goal is to help patients stay healthy, independent, and living safely in the community. We provide comprehensive primary care with a special emphasis on geriatrics. Our model recognizes the unique needs of older adults, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and aging-related issues that meaningfully affect quality of life. What makes our model distinct is that care is primarily clinic-based, with the ability to continue supporting established patients in the home when clinically appropriate. This allows for continuity and more thoughtful, relationship-based care across settings. The Job The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing day-to-day clinical and operational performance across multiple sites and care settings, including clinic and mobile care delivery. This role owns execution across care delivery, staffing, workflows, and site operations to ensure high-quality care, strong patient experience, and efficient performance. As Welcome Health continues to grow, the number of clinic locations is expected to expand over time. This leader will help scale operational infrastructure, staffing models, and standard work to support new clinic openings and ensure consistent performance as additional sites come online. The role will also partner cross-functionally on launch planning, onboarding, and stabilization to maintain a high-quality patient and provider experience during periods of rapid growth. This role is accountable for clinical, operational, financial, and people performance, including budget and P&L management across assigned markets. The Director partners closely with physicians and cross-functional leaders to design, implement, and continuously improve workflows, staffing models, and site operations, translating strategy into consistent, high-quality execution across care settings. This role reports directly to the CEO.
