About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Clinical Integration and Education provides enterprise leadership for the integration of Clinical Informatics and Institute of Learning (IOL) education, ensuring clinical systems, workflows, and education strategies work together to drive adoption, performance, and high-quality end-user experiences. This role is accountable for aligning informatics insights, training strategy, and change management to maximize the value of clinical technology investments and ensure consistent, high-quality education delivery across clients and programs. Serving as the connective leader between clinical operations, education teams, and Information Technology, the Director of Clinical Integration and Education oversees the design, delivery, and sustainment of informatics-led education and adoption programs. Through data-driven decision-making, modern learning approaches, and strong governance, this role ensures Pointcore’s training and informatics strategies measurably improve clinician proficiency, system adoption, and organizational performance while restoring and sustaining client confidence in our education model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare informatics, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, healthcare administration, information systems, education, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with using information technology in healthcare, healthcare delivery and healthcare legislation.
  • Doctorate (MD, DO, PharmD or Nursing) or Master’s degree in Nursing/Informatics.
  • Consideration will be given for a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related fields, if evidence of significant experience in informatics and leadership have been established.
  • Active clinical license (RN, MD, DO, PharmD) or demonstrated clinical informatics leadership experience with strong clinical partnership.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate (MD, DO, PharmD or Nursing) or Master’s degree in nursing/informatics
  • 3 years of clinical experience is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare information technology.
  • Prior experience in implementing complex information systems and coordinated conversions, upgrades, and enhancements of the system. Experience in aligning IT strategies with clinical and operational goals of an integrated healthcare delivery system.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year clinical IT roadmaps in collaboration with clinical and business leadership.
  • Experience managing EHR vendors (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and ensuring contract deliverables and support expectations are met.
  • Experience leading change management strategies related to technology adoption and clinical transformation.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Prior management experience is preferred. Experience with medical informatics is preferred.
  • Epic Certification.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).
  • Clinical Informatics certification (e.g., ANCC Informatics Nursing, AMIA). Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience using data and analytics to guide adoption, education, and workflow optimization decisions.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, or education governance models.
  • Experience evaluating and introducing emerging technologies, automation, or AI-enabled solutions.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements impacting clinical systems.
