THE ROLE Pure is looking to hire a Strategic Alliance Director to lead Pure’s worldwide alliance relationships with key technology companies resulting in meaningful revenue contribution and overall strategic success metrics of the alliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience leading focus alliance specific relationships
  • 9+ years of professional experience in a role that has consistently achieved revenue and technical business development targets with Alliances.
  • Experience in developing a 5 yr Alliance plan in conjunction with yearly target achievement
  • Established relationships with focus alliances executives and business line leaders.
  • Track record of establishing successful field facing and product/BU senior level relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the operations and motivations Technology Alliances
  • Outstanding communication executive skills including evangelism proficiency
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with multiple cross-functional stakeholders from technical to commercial divisions
  • Driven on success and passionate about creatively finding paths for the focus alliance to see your company as one of the most successful to work with
  • Must be willing and able to travel where relevant as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Position Pure Storage as a strategic alliance partner with target alliances including a mutually agreed business plan that focuses on achieving the financial goals of the alliance
  • Develop and foster alliance executive relationships between key Pure stakeholders and alliance counterparts.
  • Interlock various divisions with the goal of developing personal relationships which allow each discipline to collaborate on best of best activities.
  • Embrace the role of the internal ambassador for the focus alliances
  • Focus on developing positions for Pure in relevant groups using deep structural understanding of focus alliances and navigate the relationship path through corporate events and strategy evolutions
  • Understand, interlock and maximize GTM motions that synergize with the business plan
