The Director, Business Management holds a critical client facing and account leading role at HAVI with one of our most strategic customers in the United States. This position is the principal point of contact for the New Products & Promotions service area, partnering closely with operational teams. As the key relationship owner, the Director embodies HAVI’s commitment to the customer by providing clear, consistent, and effective communication, guidance, and support across both internal and external stakeholders. As the Director, you will be accountable for delivering financial business results, leading the development of successful annual account plans, and ensuring high execution from operational teams. Success in this position requires thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and working in close partnership with analytics, product, technology, and planning leaders and teams to ensure HAVI’s products and services are delivered effectively, fully understood, and sustainable for the future. This is a hybrid role based at 345 N Morgan St, Chicago, IL 60607. Candidates must reside in the Chicago metropolitan area. Relocation assistance is not offered at this time.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Operations, or a relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years of related, direct, or Customer / Account experience (in a Supply Chain Management environment is preferred)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in strategic initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain management and strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting work to internal / external clients
  • Experience in a direct client interfacing role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Co-Pilot, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) – advanced PowerPoint & Excel is preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Account Management and/or Consulting experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Account Planning Lead and develop annual account plans that coincide with business unit strategic planning
  • Lead and create quarterly internal and external performance updates related to initiatives and KPIs
  • Operate as key contact for internal and external communications for your area of the business
  • Business Development Identify, gather, and address customer needs and pain points
  • Conduct innovation and strategic planning sessions with customers and internal teams
  • Lead internal alignment and communication on new business ideas, investigation, and proposals
  • Direct customer pitches and securing of commercial agreements
  • Stakeholder Relationships Engage in regular customer identification, mapping, and marking of key stakeholders
  • Own customer and stakeholder communication – internal and external
  • Lead customer engagement including customer entertainment opportunities
  • Performance Stewardship Organize annual performance tracking with customers and internal teams
  • Partner with internal teams to provide quarterly updates and calibrate overall team performance against internal and customer expectations
  • Complete annual closeout activities for agreements and performance-based funding
  • Champion team advancements and performance
  • Escalation Management Utilize internal and external relationships to escalate and address urgent situations
  • Provide internal assistance and key communication on high priority situations
  • Lead external communication on issues – including but not limited to updates, impacts, and resolution
  • Customer and Partner Feedback Conduct feedback gathering from customers and partners
  • Linkage of relationship health to other responsibilities
  • People Management Oversee direct report(s) as required
  • Provide clear goals/objectives and regular coaching
  • Talent identification for personal development and succession planning
