About The Position

This role is a high-impact leadership position focused on driving strategic business development and national partnerships in the healthcare space. You will lead efforts to engage large, complex partners, particularly national payers and PBMs, while shaping and executing the overall partnership strategy. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, including prospecting, pitching, contracting, and pipeline management. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams in business development, sales, and customer success to deliver measurable growth. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, is highly organized, and excels at relationship building and problem solving. This position offers significant autonomy, exposure to executive stakeholders, and the opportunity to shape the company’s national growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Management Consulting within the Health Plan or PBM space.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end partnerships, including pipeline strategy, prospecting, relationship building, pitching, contracting, and execution.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Self-motivated, independent problem solver with a collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead national business development efforts with targeted Health Plan and PBM partners, becoming a deep subject matter expert on offerings and value propositions.
  • Prospect, pitch, and negotiate strategic partnerships, managing the full lifecycle from initial engagement to executed agreements.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a robust Health Plan pipeline, ensuring targets for partnership acquisition and expansion are met.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for partnership growth and new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including business development, sales, and customer success, to align strategy, share insights, and ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on partnerships, escalating critical matters to leadership and shaping organizational priorities.
