About The Position

This role is a strategic leadership opportunity to drive national business development and partnership initiatives with large, complex healthcare organizations. You will lead the full cycle of strategic engagement—from prospecting and pitching to negotiating and executing partnership agreements—while expanding existing relationships and identifying new growth opportunities. The position requires deep expertise in the health plan and PBM landscape, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will shape partnership strategy, influence internal stakeholders, and contribute to organizational growth. Success in this role directly impacts revenue, market presence, and long-term strategic relationships.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Management Consulting within the Health Plan / PBM space.
  • Proven track record of end-to-end partnership management, including strategy, prospecting, pitching, contracting, and execution.
  • Independent problem-solver with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Strong team collaboration skills, able to work across multiple functions and escalate matters with strategic impact.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and entrepreneurial, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Development: Lead prospecting, pitching, and contracting for partnerships with national payers and PBMs, developing a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain deep, trusted relationships with key decision-makers at strategic healthcare partners.
  • Pipeline Ownership: Manage and grow the Health Plan pipeline, tracking progress against strategic partnership targets and revenue goals.
  • Negotiation & Execution: Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Expansion Opportunities: Identify and implement strategies to expand existing partnerships and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Customer Success, Sales, and Business Development, to ensure seamless execution and partner satisfaction.
