About The Position

This role offers a strategic opportunity to lead business development efforts within the central lab services sector, driving growth across existing and new client accounts. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction at every stage. The position blends hands-on business development with high-level account management, allowing you to influence client outcomes, streamline processes, and deliver measurable growth. The ideal candidate is highly strategic, results-oriented, and adept at navigating complex client environments while collaborating closely with internal teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CRO, central lab, pharmaceutical, or lab services sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven success in lead generation, client engagement, and closing complex deals.
  • Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, sometimes on short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop central lab business within assigned territories, targeting both new and existing accounts.
  • Serve as the client escalation point for key accounts, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and relationship longevity.
  • Collaborate with proposal development and marketing teams to craft tailored solutions and support business growth initiatives.
  • Lead contract negotiations, sales presentations, and closing efforts to secure profitable agreements.
  • Participate in client site visits, business development events, and external engagements to strengthen client partnerships.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and client needs to inform strategic decisions and growth opportunities.
