As the Business Development Director at Telgian Engineering & Consulting (TEC) you will be responsible for the growth of business development goals of the company. We expect this candidate to leverage research and his/her existing network to identify and secure opportunities and help guide the overall direction of the company. You will collaborate with the marketing, proposal and regional operations teams to position TEC to drive near term success, while developing and implementing the TEC long-term strategy. Your Opportunity Collaborate with firm leadership to define and execute TEC’s pursuit strategy Play a lead role in the mapping, identification, and development of opportunities, strategic partnerships, and strategic initiatives in the pursuit of revenue growth Manage and grow the company wide sales pipeline Support regional leadership through go/no-go reviews, partnership alignment and guidance through proposal development/submittal Manage and develop teaming partner relationships Generate leads and drive them through award Position TEC’s capabilities with new prospective customers through frequent interaction and targeted messaging Plan and attend industry tradeshows and conferences

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with professional service sales, business development, or consulting
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven and reference-able track record of successful prospecting of new business
  • Comfortable with a ‘hunter’ type role, able to quickly build pipeline and qualify an opportunity
  • A true team player and willing to step in and help where needed.
  • Customer focused and skilled at building partner relationships.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presenting skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Experience reviewing RFQ/RFP/Contract documents
  • 3+ years of Architect/Engineering industry experience
