About The Position

JOB DUTIES: Work closely with the Retail Sales and Marketing teams to stay abreast of their innovation pipeline and, subsequently, execute & achieve business development strategies, plans, sales forecasts, and key target accounts, for various consumer-validated innovative product launches. Maintain information on competitor’s strengths, weaknesses, policies, pricing, services, etc., to improve product positioning and placement. Develop and manage the internal/external sales representatives to gain entry into the target US based CPG prospects according to defined market(s) and launch strategies. Along with the Director of Global Brand Sales, collaborate with Product Management & Finance to validate sales pricing, profit margin, and gross profit contribution to finalize pricing strategies. As appropriate with existing channels/accounts, work directly with other Gold Eagle sales team members, as a resource to develop and implement key retail and e-Commerce accounts. Lead the proposal/quoting process and determine the correct resources and timing to keep the proposal on track. Conduct professional sales presentations to new and existing National Accounts. Additionally, work with Brand Managers to develop and maintain current standard presentations. Develop/maintain strong relationships with potential rep agencies & target retail accounts in defined market(s) at various levels with key business and technical contacts. Respond effectively to customer requests, resolve critical issues in a timely manner. Actively research new opportunities through networking, personal relationships, cold calls, reading of publications, attending community events, and participating in industry organizations. Write and present professional business proposals and/or assist team in this endeavor. On an as need basis, perform category/business reviews with distribution partners & retail accounts, Operate within budget and guidelines assigned by the CEO. Maintain customer accounts within CRM documenting meetings, telephone calls and the status of sales opportunities. Collaborate with other groups within the company to implement appropriate strategies to address business opportunities and overcome obstacles. QualificationsREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field. The equivalent of ten (10) years of CPG Sales & Sales Management experience. Strong, strategic-minded hunter/sales manager profile with a proven track record of business development success in selling new products in consumer retail and e-Commerce channels (Cycling and/or Sports Category a plus) Excellent track record of consultative selling techniques and execution. Experience with new business development and negotiating terms/conditions of business agreements. Passion for successfully launching disruptive, innovative products that provide solutions to unmet consumer needs. Analytical mindset to understand market research data which inform new product positionings. Flexibility to build multiple sales teams to service multiple and/or diverse categories Record of consistent & exceptional achievement in exceeding sales goals Excellent knowledge and understanding of the consumer products industry Understanding of and experience working with independent sales representatives. Strong interpersonal skills, building a network of contacts (customers, consumers, reps, suppliers, academic institutions, business partners, etc.). Strong teamwork mentality understanding and utilizing internal team member support to help achieve mutual objectives Strong negotiation skills. Excellent oral and written communicate skills. Ability to travel as needed

Requirements
