Responsibilities The Director, Budget and Capital Financial Planning provides leadership in developing and managing the university's budget, ensuring compliance with CSU policies and strategic objectives. Duties include overseeing capital projects budgeting, financial reporting, collaborating with auxiliary units, facilitating budget workshops, and leveraging enterprise-wide budgeting and reporting tools. Supports the Assistant Vice President in developing the university general operating budget, reviews and provides expertise regarding annual budgets for campus enterprises and auxiliaries. Directs and manages the development of capital project budgets and financial plan modeling for the campus including the enterprise areas (Housing, Parking, Health Facilities, Extended Learning) and auxiliaries. Provides accurate and timely information to the Assistant Vice President regarding the status of campus financial performance against budget. Manages the University’s debt service ratio calculation and reporting to the Chancellor’s Office. Provides guidance and support to the Directors of Finance and Operations (DFOs) during the budget development process. Responsible for the annual budget submission to the Chancellor’s Office.
