Job Description: The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect to join Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO)’s Architecture group. FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. You will work with business partners, engineering teams and product leaders in delivering the highest level of technical expertise, collaborative guidance, and solution design as part of FFIO’s architecture practice for FFIO's business operations. Responsibilities Architect and own the implementation of robust solutions, to ensure flawless integration, resiliency, and efficient processing. Drive innovation and adopt technologies to improve system architecture and performance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, promoting good practices and maintaining code quality standards. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment. Work closely with IT and Business product owners and business users to understand their needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions. The Expertise and Skills You Bring Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience in architecture, analytics, design, software development Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members Hands-on experience in developing applications using Java and Spring frameworks / ecosystem Proficiency in designing service-oriented architectures incorporating both functional and non-functional requirements Experience in designing, developing and deploying applications on AWS. AWS Certification is an added advantage Experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments is a plus Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design principles. Ability to provide high-quality visuals and documentation that conveys system architecture to various audiences. Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to lead discussions amongst engineering teams, resolve issues and conflicts, as well as influence technology direction Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with leaders and colleagues across both technology and business organizations Strong technical background with a willingness to continually learn and evolve Passionate about what you do and are eager to tackle new challenges The Team FFIO provides middle and back-office capabilities supporting various Fidelity asset managers and other Fidelity business units. The FFIO Architecture team provides a wealth of technical expertise to the broader FFIO engineering community, delivering architecture guidance and engineering leadership. We collaborate closely with both our engineering and business partners as well as colleagues within the architecture team to drive and influence the technology direction within FFIO and across Fidelity at large. Certifications: Category: Information Technology Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
