About The Position

Director Architecture The Role In this architect role within Fidelity’s Workplace Investing Technology Group, you will drive technology strategy and architecture aligned with business outcomes. The candidate will provide technical leadership to agile teams through collaboration with product teams through architecture designs, adoption of standards, evaluations, and recommendations of solutions. Your architectural direction will help us modernize and innovate our recordkeeping systems providing service to over 20 million customers! The Expertise and Skills You Bring Education – BS or MS required. AWS and/or Azure experience, certification also a plus Shown ability to analyze business direction and problems, understand long term vision and risk in developing strategic technical solutions. Financial services experience a plus. Experience with presenting to Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and the development of architecture roadmaps. Experience with enterprise architecture and/ or TOGAF certification is preferred. Demonstrate knowledge of APIs, microservices architecture, data architecture, and new technologies with clear expertise in one or more of these areas. Solid Understanding in all aspects of technical architecture (operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization) Collaborating with product partners and seeing opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience or perform capability rationalization. Critical problem solving and sophisticated troubleshooting to drive resolution to technical issues. As an Architect within Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI), you will create the strategic direction, setting standards and choosing technologies across WI. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define appropriate architecture direction for them and ensure proposed solutions align with broader WI goals and strategies. Certifications: Category: Information Technology Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Financial services experience a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and/ or TOGAF certification is preferred.
