About The Position

The Director of Analytics & Administration will oversee the team of analytic associates supporting Category Management, CVO, and Analytics. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of data-driven strategies, ensuring data integrity, and delivering actionable insights to support supplier negotiations, program management, and Member value creation. The Director will champion best practices in analytics, reporting, and administration, and will drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Information Management, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in analytics, data management, or business intelligence, preferably in foodservice or related industry.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, large data sets), SQL, and business intelligence/reporting tools (Power BI, Sigma, SAS).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex data in a clear, business-friendly manner.
  • Detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and follow-through skills.
  • Experience with database concepts, data mining, and process improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts responsible for category, pricing, and CVO analytics.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and refinement of analytic models and reporting tools to support Category Management objectives.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and completeness of all data sources and reporting outputs.
  • Collaborate with Category Management, and Supplier Relations teams to deliver timely and relevant insights for negotiations and program management.
  • Support the SVP in efforts to enhance and develop technical capabilities to refine and continually expand Centralized Billing capabilities.
  • Develop and enforce data standards, policies, and training materials for internal and external user groups.
  • Drive the adoption and optimization of business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Sigma, SAS) and data mining applications.
  • Manage and resolve complex data quality issues, including mass data-cleansing initiatives and integration of new data sources.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting for Exclusive Brands, CVO, Centralized Billing, Tier, Volumetric and other key programs.
  • Benchmark UniPro category data against industry standards and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing within the analytics team.
  • Participate in department meetings, supplier meetings, and cross-functional projects as required.
  • Assists, coordinates, and participates in special projects for the Category Management Department as assigned.
  • May travel, on a limited basis, to attend and participate in UniPro Conferences or industry functions.
