About The Position

The Director of Accountability & Reporting directs, develops, and evaluates the district’s reporting plan including the state and federal accountability systems, the superintendent’s evaluation metrics, and district wide publications used to make policy decisions and recommendations that have significant impact on the performance of the district. Oversees the work of multiple staff members including CTM, and Coordinators to ensure timely, accurate data for district decision making. Champions evidence based best practices through communication and collaboration amongst district and campus administrators to improve student outcomes, district performance, and state and federal accountability performance and collaborates across departments to identify and escalate KPI to ensure districtwide adherence to district, state, and federal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a similar industry or organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing teams, fostering a high- performance culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget planning, financial management, and resource allocation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and impact.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to change and lead teams through organizational transitions.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Strong ethical standards and integrity in decision-making.

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications or memberships relevant to the industry or leadership role are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supports district, division, and campus staff in understanding the accountability systems and how it intersects with positive and supportive inputs and systems.
  • Oversees the collection, analysis, and dissemination of district data related to federal and state accountability, local accountability, board governance, and another key performance information as identified.
  • Collects, analyzes, and interprets academic data from various sources, including student assessments, course evaluations, graduation rates, and institutional surveys, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Designs and implements quality and accurate outputs from academics reporting that meet various stakeholder needs.
  • Oversee project design and coordination for multiple staff members
  • Stay current on best practices in state and federal accountability, data analysis, assessment, and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
