As a Directional Drill Laborer, you will support a Directional Drill (DD) crew through all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. In addition, you will: Responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites with the use of hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks Work in outdoor utility construction sites Transport heavy equipment to and from the job site each day Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field Learn and train to locate for the Drill operator, and use various kinds of tools and equipment

Requirements

  • Hands-on problem solver who enjoys tackling challenging tasks
  • At least 1 year of experience working outdoors, preferably in a utilities/construction environment
  • Team-oriented and willing to get in the field alongside your crew
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, independently and consistently
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record for the past 3 years (CDL preferred)
  • Interest in growing within telecom construction (fiber splicing, coax, drilling, etc.)
  • Open to travel M-F per diem (up to 50% within MN/WI and 50+ hours per week, depending on the weather), and working overtime consistently
  • Looking for long-term opportunities with consistent work and growth potential
  • MOS Codes 12K, 12N,12V, 12W, 21E, 21J, 25P, 91C, 91L, 11B, 1100, 1120, 1316, 9970-9975, 0612, 2T3XX, 2E1XX, 3E2XX, 3E3XX, 9T0XX, BU, UT relate well to this position

Responsibilities
