About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Syracuse Area (Job #SRS-CA) ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young adult male who has Cerebral Palsy. The individual enjoys going to places in the community such as the zoo and Dave & Busters, he loves riding in cars and sight-seeing, going on walks, swimming, and watching TV. The family is looking for a dedicated staff to support him with most activities of daily living and personal care. The ideal staff will work with him to get out into the community and find opportunities for socialization with peers, and assist him to be physically active. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Reliable transportation required. Work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. The pay rate is $26 per hour. ARISE/EFR is an Equal Opportunity Employer
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
