About The Position

Arise / Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in the Jamesville area with a young man in his mid-20’s. The individual is looking for a dedicated staff to assist him in increasing and maintaining his independence, increasing his socialization, being active, and increasing his safety skills. This individual is very friendly, enjoys watching videos on YouTube, plays baseball, and going to the YMCA to do a verity of different activities. Some of his interests include: baseball, swimming, skiing, and bowling. This individual communicates with American Sign Language (ASL) and does communicate with some English words. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus but willing to train. Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Hiring for the following days and times with flexibility: Thursday and Friday 10:00am – 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday 11:00am – 4:00pm There is an ability for more hours once hired on. Individual willing to consider different schedule / shifts for the right applicant. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. Arise / Exceptional Family Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Requirements

Must have a valid drivers license
Effective communication and organizational skills required.
Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
