About The Position
Self-Direction DSP - Baldwinsville Area (Job #MLG/FS) Seeking a Direct Support Professional for Young Woman with a Disability You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging and creative staff (1:1 support) to work with a young woman with a disability who is located in the city of Baldwinsville, NY. In this critical role, you will provide support to the person while completing tasks and activities such as assisting with independent living skills, providing advocacy, and attending community activities. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be compassionate, and must be reliable. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate! Hours: Thursdays 10am to 5pm (flexible), Back-up for Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Fridays Pay rate: $19.50 starting Location: Baldwinsville, NY Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
