About The Position
Pony Bird, Winner of Best Non-Profit in Jefferson County for 2025, is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities. STARTING PAY OF $19.00 PER HOUR PLUS DIFFERENTIALS EVENING SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR | MIDNIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.50 PER HOUR | WEEKEND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL $2.00 PER HOUR EXCELLENT BENEFITS PAID TRAINING What does a Direct Support Professional do? Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and problem solve
- Ability to evacuate individuals served in the event of a fire, natural disaster, or another emergency
- Must be able to perform CPR and crisis intervention techniques, paid training provided.
- Light computer skills to include data entry and word processing
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to be flexible to provide the needs of the individuals served
