About The Position
Legacy Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join their Lowndes team. This role is crucial in supporting individuals and families across South Georgia by providing compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services. Direct Support Professionals, under supervision, deliver training and support services to people with developmental disabilities within a 24/7 community residential program. Key aspects of the role include providing skills training in daily living and community integration as outlined by the Individual Service Plan, ensuring a clean and sanitary home environment in compliance with CARF safety regulations, and assisting with transportation coordination for persons served. Effective teamwork with colleagues is vital for delivering high-quality IDD services. The position also involves monitoring and documenting the progress of persons served in their treatment and requires flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid GA driver’s license with less than 5 points
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain CPR Certification
- Proficiency in computer skills
Responsibilities
- Provide training and support services to people with developmental disabilities in a 24/7 community residential program
- Deliver skills training in daily living and community integration as outlined by the Individual Service Plan
- Maintain a clean and sanitary home environment to meet CARF safety regulations
- Assist in coordinating transportation for persons served
- Monitor and document persons served progress in treatment
