At Arthur's Senior Care, we are seeking Direct Care Professionals (DCPs) who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors. About Us: Arthur’s Senior Care provides exceptional assisted living and memory care in two six-person homes in Roseville and Shoreview, MN. We are looking for dedicated Direct Care Professionals (DCPs) for both full-time and part-time positions. DCPs assist Arthur's Senior Care residents with daily living including personal and health care needs, meals, transportation, and recreational and leisure activities. No experience is necessary

Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You must have a driver’s license and a relatively clean driving record
  • You must be able and willing to provide care for both male and female clients
  • You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • You must be able to work independently, and you must have interpersonal skills including empathy, responsibility, self-control, good judgment, and overall adjustment
  • You must be able to see, hear, speak, interact, and write in English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Part-time requires a minimum of 10 shifts/month (2-3 shifts/week) with an increasing number of homes only requiring 2 shifts/week.
  • Full-time employees must work at least 38-40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Medication Management: Prepare and administer medications (training provided and paid).
  • Personal Care: Assist with meals, personal hygiene, and use of medical equipment (training provided).
  • Therapies: Perform range-of-motion exercises and other therapeutic activities.
  • Activity Planning: Organize and participate in fun activities.
  • Advocacy: Support clients during doctor appointments.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive connections with clients and coworkers.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary documentation and reports.
  • Transportation: Take residents on daily outings (parks, coffeeshop, etc.)
