About your Role: As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care, support and skills-training to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges. Fostering positive relationships between caretakers and individuals served you will work to ensure client safety and maintaining a safe environment. Assisting clients with self-administration of medications (with proper training) and encouraging self-help activities. Performing home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and cleaning, you will help clients plan meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food/meals, feeding and clean-up. While following a structured support plan, you will accompany clients to scheduled appointments and in running errands if needed (approved drivers only.) All focused on supporting clients with social skills and integration into the community.
