About your Role: As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide compassionate care, support, and skills training to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or cognitive health challenges. You’ll foster positive relationships with the individuals you serve, helping to ensure their safety and creating a secure environment. Responsibilities include assisting clients with self-administering medications (with proper training), promoting self-help activities, and supporting daily living tasks. You’ll help with light housekeeping, meal planning, grocery shopping, food preparation, feeding, and cleanup. Following a structured support plan, you may also accompany clients to appointments and assist with errands (if you are an approved driver), all with a focus on enhancing social skills and promoting community integration.
