About The Position

KenCrest is seeking caring and dependable individuals for a part-time/PRN Direct Support Professional role in Delaware. This position involves supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community during weekday daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with no evenings or overnight shifts. Responsibilities include helping individuals build daily living skills, gain confidence, and stay connected to their community through activities like shopping, library visits, appointments, or state-funded programs. The role requires driving a personal vehicle to transport individuals, with mileage reimbursement provided. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and enjoys helping others, focusing on supporting independence, encouraging personal choice, and treating individuals with respect and dignity. Experience is helpful but not required, as training will be provided.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
Personal vehicle required for regular transportation (mileage reimbursement provided)
Current and Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required
Current auto liability insurance required
Ability to pass background and required state checks
Ability to understand and communicate in basic English required
Medication Administration, First Aid, and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
