We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning. Support a woman in the Darlington area with developing independence in her home and community. Assist with being active and exercising while getting out and participating in activities in my community that I enjoy. This might include going out to eat, shopping, taking a class, going for walks, crafts, and other recreation and leisure activities. Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life. This position is: Sunday 11a-4p Tuesday 11a-4p Thursday 11a-4p 15 hours/ week The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported. Job duties: DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by: Assisting with participation and exploration of the community Cultivating and expanding independent living skills Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals. Complete required documentation (e.g., incident reports, progress notes, behavior data, fire drills etc.) Administer and record medications pursuant to State and Agency requirements, when applicable Complete all agency required trainings to remain in compliance of polices and regulations
