As a Direct Support Professional I & II, you will assist adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, supporting independence, health, and personal growth. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Certifications Required: CPR/First Aid
  • Experience: 1 year of personal or professional experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism) or mental health conditions (e.g., Bipolar) strongly preferred
  • Valid in-state driver’s license
  • Must be 21+
  • Current registration & insurance
  • Driving record with no more than 2 points in the past 3 years
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • All candidates must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including background check and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with hygiene, grooming, dietary, and dressing needs
  • Supporting clients with bathroom needs
  • Changing clothing/undergarments when necessary
  • Preparing meals and completing cleanup
  • Following daily routines outlined in the Individual Program Plan (IPP)
  • Redirecting behaviors through activities like walking, reading, games, math, and computer tasks
  • Providing safe transportation in company vans when required
