Who we are looking for: We are looking for a direct support professional who loves the fast pace of day programs; enjoys going out into the community or staying at our site and engaging in activities with that help promote independence and self-esteem to persons with disabilities. Summary: Our Day Services program provides individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community. Successful candidates will have: The ability to interact with our individuals in a positive and encouraging way. A professional manner, patience, empathy and possess a strong desire to help others. An interest in taking an active role in by introducing individuals to community based and site-based activities that inspire growth. Days & Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00PM
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid NYS license and clean driving record.
- Computer Skills: able to use email; google suite; database systems
- A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
- Daily access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass SCIP/CPR
- Ability to Lift 50 lbs
