About The Position
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and community-based support to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Your role is to help these individuals live safe, independent, and meaningful lives, making a difference every day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–6 months related experience or Human Services training
- Valid CT Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain DDS Medication Certification, CPR & First Aid
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on direct care and daily living support (ADLs)
- Support medical and healthcare needs, including appointments and follow-through
- Implement behavior support plans and habilitation programs
- Promote community integration, independence, and quality of life
- Support meals, special diets, and safety procedures
- Complete hourly safety checks for overnight roles
