About The Position
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full and Part Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for multiple Queens residences and a Brooklyn residence. DATE & TIME: THURSDAY MARCH 5TH from 10AM-1PM LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates. Weekend availability needed for most positions! Direct Support Professional (DSP) positions to be filled: 40hr Evening shifts: 2pm-10pm & 3pm-11pm....Drivers License Required. 40hr & 30hr Overnight shifts: 10pm-8am & 11pm-9am...Drivers License NOT Required. PAY RATE: $20-$20.36 per hour depending on residence placement and driving status. Plus a very comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! Requirements
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
Responsibilities
