About The Position
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full and Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Manhattan ICF residence. PAY RATE : $20.60 - 20.96 per hour depending on driving status. In addition, this position comes with a comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! See below for additional Benefit information. DATE & TIME : THURSDAY April 2nd from 10AM-1PM LOCATION : Hiring event is by invite only! Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates . POSITIONS TO BE FILLED: Full-time 40hrs: 3pm-11pm & 2pm-10pm...Drivers Required! Part-Time 30hrs: 10pm-8am, Friday to Sunday....Drivers NOT Required Weekend availability needed for most positions! The Rewards of being a DSP! Requirements
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills.
- Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
Responsibilities

- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
