About The Position
AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT with ON THE SPOT JOB OFFERS! for Full and Part Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Queens ICF residence. DATE & TIME: THURSDAY MARCH 12TH from 10AM-1PM LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address for qualified candidates. DSP positions to be filled: 40hr Day/Evening shift: Mon-Weds 2pm-10pm & Sat.& Sun 8am-4pm....Drivers License Required. 40hr Day shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm....Drivers License Required. 30hr Overnight shifts: Fri Night - Sun. night 10pm-8am &11pm-9am...Drivers License NOT Required PAY RATE: $20.60- $20.96 per hour depending on residence placement and driving status. Requirements
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- High school education/GED, highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
